What we collect
We collect two kinds of information. The first is information you give us directly — your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter, or your name and message if you write to us. The second is information collected automatically when you visit, such as your approximate location, device type, referring page and the pages you read.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles are read and how readers arrive at them. Analytics data is aggregated; we do not attempt to identify individual readers. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking scripts.
Cookies
Cookies are used for three purposes: measuring traffic (analytics), serving display advertising, and attributing affiliate referrals. Advertising and affiliate cookies are set by third parties, not by us, and their use is governed by those parties’ own privacy policies.
You can refuse or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. The site will continue to work; some features may behave differently.
Affiliate links
When you click an affiliate link, the destination retailer and its affiliate network may set a cookie recording that your visit came from Aurora Adorned. We receive aggregate reports — clicks and sales — and never your name, address or payment details. See our affiliate disclosure.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address is stored with our email service provider and used only to send the newsletter. We never sell, rent or share subscriber lists. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
How long we keep data
Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful for corrections and legal records.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, write to editors@auroraadorned.com. We respond within 30 days.
Children
Aurora Adorned is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of the page and note the change on the homepage.
